Algae oil vs fish oil
Two oils with DHA and EPA, side by side, from what their labels say.
Only products sold in the Netherlands and published on SUPPFAX. Krill oil, calanus oil, cod liver oil and plant oils are listed separately, and a product with no oil recorded is not in this guide.
Where each comes from
Fish oil is oil from fish.
Algae oil is oil from algae.
What the labels on SUPPFAX show
Worked out from the published products, the way the list works them out: only the list's "Omega-3" group, in capsules. A capsule is never compared with a liquid, and a combination such as omega-3 with vitamin D3 is not counted in.

What these figures don't say
They describe the products published on SUPPFAX, not every oil on the market. They say nothing about how an oil was made, or how oxidised it is.
Vegan?
"Vegan" only where the label says so. An algae oil in a gelatin capsule isn't vegan, so read the ingredients.
A product page shows the ingredients as printed, under "Other ingredients".
