Price per gram explained

Price per gram omega-3 is a pack’s price for each gram of DHA+EPA in it.

Prices from Dutch shops only, seen in the last 30 days and not recorded as out of stock when seen.

Why the price per capsule misleads

Capsules hold different amounts of DHA+EPA. A cheap capsule can hold little of it, and a more expensive one a lot.

The price per gram compares what you pay for the DHA+EPA itself.

It says nothing about how oxidised an oil is, or about its other ingredients.

A worked example, from the catalogue

The rule that picks it: the first product A to Z in Capsules with a current in-stock price. Only a product whose price per gram can be worked out. Omega-3 in capsules, A to Z

€25.42 for 90 capsules with 280 mg DHA+EPA each = 25.2 g of DHA+EPA → €1.01 per gram.

Worked out on 28 Oct 2026, from the price and the label above.

"At least" amounts

Some labels give a minimum, such as "at least". The pack then holds that much or more, so its price per gram is that price or less.

SUPPFAX shows such a price with "or less", and lists it after the exact ones.

Which prices count

Prices are seen in Dutch shops, each with the day it was seen.

A price counts for 30 days. After that it reads "price may be outdated", and isn't used.

A price recorded as out of stock when it was seen is left out.
